Oh what a beautiful morning!

The view from my morning run along the lakefront path of Lake Michigan in Chicago. It was perfect running weather and clearly the whole of Chicago thought so too. In fact I'd be entirely unsurprised to hear that business and industry ground to a halt due to everyone being out on the lakefront enjoying the beautiful Summer morning.

To the right I have added the route, I'm sure this satellite image wasn't taken on the actual day I ran (although the route itself comes from my garmin) but the water is blue and not icy white with snow so it's at least the right time of year. Note the graveyard in the North-West that caused me some getting-lost-and-having-to-use-the-compass-function trouble!

Hi Pennie, how's things?

I like your cat! my first cat was a ginger too, so cute!

nice bathroom too. What's the scale on that sattelite image of the Lake run, it looks like quite a long way...

I've been very exercise lazy recently, ill again at the mo too... actually I did do a fair amount of swimming in Finland, while I was teaching English there in July.

Hope you're having fun with the election fever over there - we have BBC News on all day at work and I must've heard BO's acceptance speech a million times already!

Not sure what the scale is but the run was around 10 miles I think. I'm always slightly disappointed when places I thought were really far away are closer than I want to run. At Christmas I ran from my house to Hampton Court Palace. A very disappointing 12 miles along the river! I had to run back to Kingston just to make it worth my while (and to catch the bus home)...
