Brilliant! Oh, that's amazing, I'm so proud! I was thinking about you all weekend - I couldn't quite work out exactly when you'd be running, so I sent good running vibes to you the whole time.
Thank you!
My hips have been giving me trouble for about the last month - ever since the 20 miler - probably because I slacked off the yoga and despite spending the week doing yoga it was too little, too late and my hips were yelling at me about 10 miles in.
The temperatures weren't good either. It was probably around 26/27C by the time I was done which didn't help.
All in all though, given the circumstances, I snuck in under the 5 hour time and I'm glad. I do wish I'd been closer to the 4.45 mark but I suppose it just makes it easier to set a new PR next time!
Now I'm going to spend the Summer stretching, building up my leg muscles and my mileage so I'm ready for training...
Congratulations! That was a fantastic feat.
We are both very proud of you. I love the photos.
